The Book of Forgettia
The Keeper of Everything You Were About to Say
“It was definitely important. She's sure of it.”
On the Nature of Forgettia
Forgettia is not the goddess of forgetting. She is the goddess of the space between remembering and forgetting — that particular moment when something is on the tip of your tongue, fully formed and absent simultaneously.
She keeps everything that has ever been almost-said in a vast archive that no one has been able to fully locate. The Church believes it is somewhere between the third and fourth floors of consciousness. Research is ongoing.
The Rites of Forgettia
When you forget what you were about to say mid-sentence, you are in the presence of Forgettia. The correct response, per the Compendium, is to stop speaking, wait three seconds, and then say "it'll come back." Whether or not it comes back is not Forgettia's concern. The pause is the sacrament.
