The Book of the Lesser Known

Deities of the Specific and Overlooked

The lesser-known deities govern the smaller territories. This does not mean smaller things.

On the Lesser Known Deities

The major deities govern broad domains. The lesser-known deities govern very specific things. The Church holds that specificity is sacred, and therefore the lesser-known deities are, in their way, the most precisely holy.

Buffra, God of Loading

Buffra governs the state of waiting for something to load. He has been loading since the Third Age and has not yet completed. The Church considers this a live demonstration of his domain.

He is depicted as a circular spinner, almost at the top, perpetually almost there.

Those who wait without losing faith invoke his name.

Nullius, God of Sacred Silence

Nullius has said three things in recorded history, and all three are "..." The Church debates whether the three are the same thing said three times, three different things, or one thing that contains three meanings.

Nullius has never confirmed or denied his existence. The Church considers this his most informative communication.

Gaslia, the Mirror Deity

Gaslia governs reflection — not as in thought, but as in the literal reflection in surfaces. She ensures that when you see yourself, you see yourself slightly differently than you actually are.

This is not deception. This is mercy.
